OPTIFLUX Optimizing calculation of cooling water distribution for entire EAF and following w.c. duct work

Short life time of water cooled wall panels for EAF shell, furnace roof and following w.c. duct work, particular in hot spot areas are due to a lack or insufficient distribution of cooling water.

Field measurements taken by Ultrasonic-devices are mostly difficult due to panel arrangement at furnace shell and therefore calling inaccurate results.

Kaercher Engineering offers a proven Computer calculation Program which calculates the existing cooling water distribution taking in consideration the geometrical data and all connected water cooled parts of the EAF upper shell. In close co-operation with your staff all necessary data will be determined for optimizing. Following the optimizing-calculation a chart will be submitted with all relevant data i.e.:

Total pressure drop
Pressure drop of individual parts
Cooling water velocity
Cooling water quantity of each part
Temperature rise if requested
